In the second quarter of 2023, the top 5 dining and restaurant applications in the United States displayed distinct trends in terms of weekly downloads and active users. Here’s a closer look at the performance of these apps, based on data from Sensor Tower.

McDonald's saw a consistent increase in weekly downloads, starting from approximately 438K at the end of March and peaking at nearly 548K by the end of June. The app also maintained a robust number of active users, growing from around 8.8M to over 10.1M throughout the quarter.

Starbucks experienced a relatively stable trend in weekly downloads, fluctuating between 193K and 236K. The weekly active users for Starbucks hovered around 4.6M to 5.1M, indicating steady engagement from its user base during this period.

Dairy Queen® Food & Treats had a notable spike in weekly downloads, especially in early April, reaching up to 779K. However, downloads tapered off to around 71K by the end of June. The app's weekly active users followed a similar pattern, peaking at 805K in early April and stabilizing at approximately 233K by the end of Q2.

Taco Bell Fast Food & Delivery showed a gradual increase in weekly downloads, starting from about 154K in late March and rising to nearly 196K by the end of June. The active user count for Taco Bell also grew steadily, moving from approximately 1.1M to over 1.14M during the quarter.
